Künstlerhaus - The Museum of Fine Artists

Come visit the House of the Society of Fine Artists in Austria! The Künstlerhaus, right next to the Musikverein — the legendary home of Vienna's New Year’s Concert — has been showcasing artists’ works since 1868. It’s one of the first buildings on the famous Ringstraße, Vienna’s must-see boulevard. Talk about prime real estate for art and culture!

The Künstlerhaus Vereinigung hosts its exhibitions on the upper floor, while the Albertina Modern takes over the ground and underground levels. Why not make the most of your visit and enjoy both in one trip?

The building itself is a work of art, featuring eight stunning marble statues on its wings. Keep an eye out for iconic figures like Bramante, da Vinci, Dürer, Michelangelo, Raphael, Rubens, Titian, and Velasquez.

The museum is nicely accessible, with a wheelchair- and pram-friendly ramp on the right side of the main entrance. Inside, there’s a spacious elevator, and the restroom on the first floor is not only accessible but worth a visit for everyone!

As for refreshments, there’s a small snack corner near the main stairs, but it’s nothing to rave about. For a more memorable experience, head to one of the cafés in Karlsplatz or along the Ringstraße. If your budget allows, you’ll find some world-famous spots to indulge in.

The museum shop, shared with Albertina Modern, is a treasure trove for art lovers. Be sure to check out their collection of excellent art books!
